FiSíQ: A Wellness Brand Rooted in Costa Rica’s Natural Beauty

FiSíQ is a wellness brand that holds a special place in my heart. While much of my portfolio is rooted in music and the entertainment industry, this project was a refreshing departure, one that challenged and inspired me in new ways. Based in Costa Rica, FiSíQ is a fitness and wellness studio deeply rooted in the country’s vibrant landscape and culture.

The studio is built around five core pillars: Movement, Nature, Art, Belonging, and Service. While these tenets were intentionally kept out of the literal branding, they were central to the creative process, shaping the tone, textures, and intention behind every design choice.

Brand Direction

Our shared vision was clear: the brand needed to feel grounded in Costa Rica, evoking the mountains, jungles, and coastline, while still maintaining broad appeal to both locals and travelers. It was equally important to strike a visual balance between masculine and feminine energy, as the studio welcomes people from all backgrounds and walks of life.

Color Palette

We crafted a mostly neutral palette accented with pops of nature-inspired color, reflecting the organic richness of Costa Rica:

  • Sea Salt – a cool, clean off-white for space and breath

  • Ocean Spray – a muted turquoise with calm energy

  • Sand – warm, grounding beige

  • Coconut Shell – a deep, earthy brown for strength and structure

  • Avocado – fresh and vibrant, hinting at growth and vitality

This palette creates a flexible and inviting visual language that works beautifully across digital and physical spaces — subtle enough to feel grounded, yet distinctive enough to stand out.

Logo & Typography

The FiSíQ logo was designed to feel bold and contemporary, but still organic and welcoming. The mark needed to reflect the studio’s accessibility and authenticity not too polished or high-end, but refined in its simplicity and intention. It evokes the feeling of a local favorite: a place where people feel seen, supported, and inspired.

Typography plays a big role in that expression. For this brand, we paired:

  • King Things Organica: a whimsical, hand-drawn display font by UK designer Kevin King, used for accent moments and visual personality

  • Archivo: a clean, geometric sans-serif family that ensures clarity and consistency across web and digital materials. It's widely available and easy to implement on most site templates.

Looking Ahead

FiSíQ is preparing to open both a physical location and a virtual studio in November 2025. It’s been an absolute joy to bring this brand to life, and I’m grateful to the team for allowing me to share this case study ahead of their official launch. We are also incredibly excited to be collaborating with them on their website platform build, including a full digital media paywall structure.
