FISíQ
This brand is near and dear to my heart. It is a touch outside some of the other work I have done in the sense that it is not at all aligned with the music industry. The Costa Rican-based fitness studio focuses on the five pillars of wellness:
MOVEMENT
NATURE
ART
BELONGING
SERVICE
While the client did not want any of these words directly in the branding, these tenets informed and infused our entire design process. It was also essential that the brand gave a sense of Costa Rica and all that it has to offer, from the mountains to the jungles and the coasts. This brought us to our color palette. We wanted to create a palette that was mostly neutral but with pops of color. The goal was to reflect the natural essence of Costa Rica while striking a balance between feminine and masculine.
We ended up with Sea Salt, Ocean Spray, Sand, Coconut Shell & Avocado.
The logo was designed to be bold and somewhat modern while still organic and approachable. FiSíQ is committed to maintaining accessibility for year-round locals as well as tourists. Thus, the logo needed to feel neither too luxurious nor too formal, but rather that of a fun, local spot.
The fonts selected for this brand included King Things Organica by Kevin King out of Exeter, UK and Archivo (entire family, for website use) which can be found on most website template providers.
FiSíQ is set to open their brick-and-mortar as well as their virtual studio in November 2025! We thank them for allowing us to share this on our blog ahead of that date and will be cheering them on.
